ELLIE CLARK COACHING

LEADERSHIP COACHING WEBSITE

Ellie is a certified leadership coach on a mission to support mid-level leaders in international schools make meaningful change in their school through individual coaching, team coaching, and workshops.

PROJECT SCOPE

  • 8-Page Squarespace Website

  • Timeline: 3 weeks

In collaboration with Ellie, I had the joy of designing a multi-page Squarespace website that invites innovative mid-level leaders in schools to her coaching programs and workshops.

If you are looking for a leadership coach with a passion for school innovation and change, Ellie may be a perfect fit.

the CHALLENGE

On the discovery call, Ellie shared how she was a little embarrassed by her current website, and it felt like there was too much text and didn’t look professional.

Also, we discussed how SEO would be important for her site later down the road as she started blogging.

Later, in a feedback form, she expressed how she wanted a website that would communicate her business’s values and what she does. She even tried using Squarespace, but in the end, it was time-consuming to learn everything on YouTube.

ELLIE’S VISION

It was important for Ellie that her website was not busy or cluttered but still felt warm, cozy and nature-like.

WEBSITE FEELING/VIBE:

Authentic / Friendly / Innovative / Passionate / Thoughtful

KEY STEPS WE TOOK

  • We worked towards Ellie’s vision by starting with her content. With guides and a strategy, Ellie fully re-wrote her website copy so that it would speak to her ideal client.

  • She had a professional photo shoot, which helped add authenticity and warmth to her website.

  • In the beginning, we agreed on creating only a one-page website, but after gathering all the content, I realized that a full website would be better for holding her services and mainly for future SEO. Ellie happily agreed!

  • With the expanded site, we could clearly direct people to each service page for more information. Throughout the site and at the end of every page, there are strategic buttons inviting visitors to book a discovery call with Ellie.

  • Also, it was fun to add the LinkedIn feed with a plugin!

WHAT ELLIE SAYS

READ ELLIE’S FULL REVIEW

“If you’re building a website and feeling stuck trying to do it all yourself… I’d genuinely recommend working with Catherine.

I started out trying to build my own site on Squarespace, and honestly, it became a bit of a rabbit hole. Every small change meant another YouTube tutorial, more time, and still not quite getting it how I wanted. I knew what I felt about my work, but translating that into something clear and compelling online was a different story.

  • I’d seen a website Catherine created for someone I know and loved how clean, thoughtful, and true to them it felt. I also heard that she had experience working with coaches and consultants—which made a big difference.

From the start, I felt curious, excited, and honestly quite relieved to have this off my plate. There was a real sense of trust in her process.

And now? I’m just incredibly grateful.

She did far more than I expected. She was responsive, thoughtful, and really tuned into what I needed. What stood out most was the balance—she brought strong ideas and expertise, but always kept me at the centre. Nothing felt imposed. It felt like a true collaboration.

The biggest impact is this: I now have a clear, simple way to communicate what I do and the difference I make. That clarity didn’t exist before. Through her process (especially her handbook exercises), I actually figured out who I support and why. I now have a core message I use everywhere:

“Building collective momentum to drive meaningful change in international schools.”

That came directly from the work we did together.

Catherine isn’t just a web designer. She’s an exceptional listener who really takes the time to understand your work—and then helps you say it simply and powerfully. She guided me on everything from structure to photography, even giving suggestions I could pass on to my photographer.

Her process is also surprisingly creative. She encouraged me to explore other websites I liked, which helped me see patterns, preferences, and ideas I wouldn’t have come up with on my own. It’s not just “fill in this template”—it’s a proper thinking process that sharpens your whole business.

A small example of that—when I asked about SEO, she was honest about where she was at, then went away, did the research, spoke to others, and came back with better answers. That kind of care really sticks with you.

If you’re looking for someone who won’t just build your website but will help you find your message and voice along the way, Catherine is a brilliant person to work with.”

the RESULTS & IMPACT

IN ELLIE’S WORDS

“I now have a clear and simple way to share with people what I do and the impact I can have on them.

I didn’t have this before.

You didn’t just help me communicate my business, you helped me figure out who I’m supporting and why.

There’s a statement I use throughout all my comms now - “building collective momentum to drive meaningful change in international schools” this summarizes my business perfectly. This came from your handbook exercise.”

MY FAVORITE PART OF THE WEBSITE DESIGN JOURNEY

I really enjoyed working on this website project. Ellie’s passion for change in schools was inspiring and it really came out in how she approached this project.

I’m cheering for you, Ellie! May your coaching help many schools create change they are longing for.

FINAL THOUGHTS & AN INVITATION

My own takeaway was expanding my knowledge of SEO best practices and finding solutions that would work best for Ellie.
